Volunteers Requirement
In order to volunteer with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO), a person must complete all Clearances & Training highlighted on this page. Click on the links to head directly to the page in question. Thank you.
PA Criminal Background Check
- Can be obtain Online. Print out your results for submission to the Parish Office.
- Required renewal every five (5) years.

Federal Criminal Background Check
- A Federal background check and fingerprinting are required for volunteers.
- Pre-register for fingerprinting below.
- For all current and prospective volunteers, use the following service code: 1KG6ZJ for VOLUNTEERS.
- Click on Schedule, Manage Appointment and Complete the required information.
- Payment is done online before your appointment is set. Fee is approximately $25.75.
- Required renewal every five (5) years.
- If you have lived in PA continuously for 10 years you will need the Volunteer Disclosure (Interactive PDF format) to be filed at the place of service.
Protecting God's Children (VIRTUS)
- Go to the website to Register for a Session.
- Certificate of Completion of Protecting God's Children to be return to the Parish Office.
- This is a One-Time Requirement.
Mandated Reporter Training
- Go to the website to Register first before you do the training.
- Certificate of Completion of Mandated Reporter Training to be return to the Parish Office.
- This is a One-Time Requirement.
Mandatory Reporter Acknowledgement Form
- This form is needed to provide proof to the state of Pennsylvania that the above Mandatory Reporter training has been completed and also to acknowledge that the volunteer is now, or may be considered in the future to be Mandatory Reporter.
- The Form (Interactive PDF format) to be filed and Return to the Parish Office.
